Lima kelompok tani kelapa
sawit bersertifikat ISPO dan RSPO di Kabupaten Muara Wahau, Kalimantan Timur
menunjukkan semangat dan dedikasi luar biasa untuk berkontribusi pada
lingkungan.
Koperasi Serba Usaha Karya
Indah, Koperasi Sawit Usaha Tani Sejahtera, Koperasi Jasa Usaha Tani Sejahtera,
Koperasi Pertanian Sumber Rejeki, dan KSU Kel'ean Blom Kejah berkumpul
melakukan penanaman dan penyerahan secara simbolis bantuan dana perlindungan
hutan.
Untuk penanaman pohon,
kegiatannya akan dilaksanakan bertahap, namun secara simbolis masing-masing
koperasi telah menanam pohon durian.
Dengan memanfaatkan Dana
Kredit RSPO yang dialokasikan untuk aspek lingkungan, masing-masing koperasi
memberikan bantuan sebesar Rp 2juta untuk mendukung kegiatan ini. Sementara
itu, Koperasi Kel’ean Blom Kejah, koperasi yang terletak di kawasan Wehea memberikan
dana perlindungan sebesar Rp 15juta untuk Hutan Lindung Wehea dan Rp 20juta
untuk Hutan Lindung Desa Nehas Liah Bing.
Dana ini akan berperan
penting dalam menjaga ekosistem di sana serta berdampak besar terhadap
perlindungan lingkungan hidup.
Menurut Group Manager KSU
Karya Indah, Widyo Anwar, Kredit RSPO memainkan peran penting dalam mendukung
inisiatif petani dan memberdayakan kegiatan koperasi, "Kredit RSPO dapat
membantu kegiatan koperasi dan memberi manfaat kepada masyarakat desa".
Keputusan lima koperasi
dalam menanam pohon bermula dari keinginan mereka yang mengakar untuk
melestarikan dan melindungi kekayaan Hutan Lindung Wehea.
Koperasi meyakini akan
pentingnya upaya ini untuk memberikan kontribusi dan berdampak lebih luas
kepada masyarakat dan lingkungan, "kami memilih melakukan penanaman pohon
agar dapat menjaga kelestarian hidup hewan, tumbuhan, dan sebagai bentuk andil
kami dalam membantu melestarikan dan menjaga Hutan Lindung Wehea. Semoga
dukungan ini dapat bermanfaat bagi masyarakat, menyimpan air hujan, menjaga
cadangan tanah, serta mengurangi dampak pemanasan global".
Kegiatan penanaman pohon
ini rencananya akan menjadi program rutin dari lima koperasi tersebut, sebagai
penanda komitmen jangka panjang mereka terhadap lingkungan. Bahkan Widyo
berharap, langkah baik ini bisa menjadi contoh dan diikuti oleh seluruh koperasi
lain yang telah tersertifikasi.
