"Perempuan itu istimewa. Marilah terus bersinar dan menginspirasi".
Rasanya seperti mendapat energi baru yang positif jika membaca pesan dari Ibu Imfaatul Hasanah, saat ditanya tentang peran seorang perempuan di perayaan Hari Perempuan Internasional, yang jatuh pada bulan ini.
Menjadi seorang ibu tunggal tidak menyurutkan semangat Mak Inun, begitu ia kerap disapa, untuk berjuang menghidupi delapan anaknya. Bahkan anak bungsunya baru berusia sembilan bulan.
Perempuan 43 tahun ini serba bisa. Selain menjadi Manager ICS Koperasi Serba Usaha Makarti dan bendahara Kelompok Tani Sekar Mas, ia juga melakoni peran lain di luar aktivitas koperasi, mulai dari ternak sapi dan ikan milik sendiri, serta menjadi petani sayur. Tak hanya sibuk menjaga ternaknya sendiri, Mak Inun juga masih ikut membantu menjaga ternak milik tetangganya.
Saat ini Mak Inun memiliki kebun sawit seluas empat hektare, dan lima kolam ikan.
Menurutnya, peran perempuan dalam industri sawit sangat signifikan, "kaum perempuan di industri sawit memiliki peran penting dalam kemajuan minyak sawit yang berkelanjutan".
Tercatat ada tiga orang perempuan yang bekerja dalam struktur ICS KSU Makarti, dan memiliki gaji yang setara.
Koperasi yang berlokasi di Kabupaten Kutai Timur, Kalimantan Timur ini juga memberikan akses BPJS Ketenagakerjaan kepada para pekerja dan anggota, baik laki-laki maupun perempuan.
Setara dan tanpa diskriminasi menjadi hal yang disorot Mak Inun terkait kesetaraan gender, "kesetaraan gender adalah pandangan bahwa semua orang harus menerima perlakuan yang setara dan tidak didiskriminasi berdasarkan identitas gender mereka yang bersifat kodrati".
