Usianya masih 21 tahun, tetapi Teh Putri, begitu ia akrab disapa, sudah sekitar dua tahun ini bekerja di koperasi bersertifikat RSPO, Asosiasi Petani Kelapa Sawit Mandiri (APKSM) yang berlokasi di Pangkalan Bun, Kalimantan Tengah.
Putri tak menampik jika awalnya ada perasaan segan untuk bekerja di koperasi, terlebih karena usianya yang masih muda dan baru saja lulus SMA. Meski awalnya ragu, ternyata pengalamanlah yang berbicara, "lama kelamaan saya nyaman dengan pekerjaan saya di koperasi, karena memang pekerjaan ini tidak begitu menekan, dan sangat banyak pengalaman", kata perempuan berhijab tersebut.
Putri merupakan Mojang kelahiran Bandung, 21 April 2002. Saat ini ia dipercaya menjadi Sekretaris ICS untuk mengurus sejumlah hal terkait dokumen organisasi. Ia juga merupakan pengajar kursus komputer yang diselenggarakan oleh APKSM secara gratis, bagi anak-anak petani dan pekerja anggota.
Menurut pandangannya, perempuan perlu memiliki kesempatan besar untuk meraih apa yang mereka cita-citakan. Bahkan di tempatnya bekerja, APKSM juga mendukung keterlibatan perempuan dalam segala aktivitas. Suara mereka didengar untuk memberikan masukan di setiap pengambilan keputusan, diberikan kesempatan seluas-luasnya untuk berkembang, serta bisa memberikan gagasan yang bersifat membangun. Pekerja dari kalangan perempuan dituntut ikut memiliki peran dalam membesarkan organisasi.
Kesetaraan perempuan, menurut Putri, merupakan hak untuk mendapatkan kesempatan kerja, mulai dari kesetaraan jabatan, gaji yang sesuai, tidak mendapatkan diskriminasi, pelecehan hingga kekerasan seksual. Ia juga menggarisbawahi hak perempuan lain di antaranya seperti cuti dan/atau izin khusus haid, melahirkan, keguguran, dan menyusui.
Meski bekerja di industri sawit yang dianggap sebagian orang merupakan pekerjaan maskulin, tetapi Putri berpendapat peran perempuan untuk terlibat aktif juga sangat penting, "seperti perempuan yang ada di Asosiasi Petani Kelapa Sawit Mandiri ini, sudah ada 135 petani perempuan yang terdaftar, APKSM juga menyiapkan program pembuatan sapu lidi dari pelepah sawit yang dikerjakan oleh petani perempuan".
“Tidak ada batasan bagi kami para perempuan untuk mencapai segala sesuatu. Perempuan berhak menentukan pilihan dan mendapatkan kesetaraan. Jadilah perempuan yang cantik, cerdas, percaya diri, dan tetap dihormati", pungkasnya.
