In mid-2026, Forum Petani Kelapa Sawit Berkelanjutan Indonesia (the Indonesian Sustainable Palm Oil Farmers Forum (FORTASBI) welcomed two new members who joined the big family of FORTASBI. These two new members joined after a year and a half during which FORTASBI did not accept any new members due to various considerations.

These two groups is Perkumpulan Petani Sawit Rimbo Ulu located in Sumber Sari Village, Tebo Regency, Jambi. This group records a production of around 1.6 tons per hectare, with a total group production per year reaching 48,800 tons across an area of 2,510 hectares, and the number of certified members reaching 1,421 smallholder.

This group of smallholder became RSPO members in 2026. Their partners or supporters are PT Kurnia Palma Berjaya and Yayasan Setara Jambi. The group is striving to achieve certification with support from the Perkumpulan Petani Berkah Mandah Lestari (PPBML) and the Forum Petani Swadaya Merlung Renah Mendaluh (FPSMRM).

The second group is Koperasi Karya Tunggal Jaya, located in Pangkalan Dewa Village, West Kotawaringin, Central Kalimantan. This group records production of 1.5 tons per hectare per month, or 14,150 tons per year, with a total farming area of 943.2 hectares and 318 smallholder as members. This group received their RSPO certification in 2026.

Right now, Fortasbi doesn’t just accommodate farmers who are certified for sustainability, whether RSPO or ISPO, to become part of the bigger family. They prioritize groups that are starting, want to, or are already practicing regenerative.

Fortasbi now has a total of 62 groups, up from 60, with a total of 22,463 smallhpolders, up from 20,724, and a total land area of 52,661 hectares, up from 49,208 hectares as of July 2026.
